09/01/23 JOSEPH REPLACE DAMPER. The supplier sent the wrong damper. I have re-ordered the damper with explicit instructions so they get it right. We will reschedule once we have the correct damper. We will open the box before coming out to make sure it is correct. We will give you a call to schedule when we have the correct damper. 09/20/23 JOSEPH I returned it and took out the old damper. Installed the new damper. Checked system operation. Everything is operating properly. Sealed all of the joints on all dampers as they were extremely leaky. Discussed the leakage and the effects that it has on the system with Joe and Linda. Everything is operating properly at the completion of the call. Received final payment info on the personal check. Stellar Performance Membership Cooling Season Inspection. Preventative AC maintenance checklist: Performed gas leak test—pass. Checked thermostat—pass. Checked furnace air filter & blower compartment—pass. Checked water heater operation—pass. Checked all AC components, electrical components, refrigerant levels, coils, drain, line insulation, temperatures and pressures—pass. Line set insulation is aging and may need replacement soon. Also checked the garage mini-split and garage heater—pass. ECOBEE Lite thermostat installation. Helped the customer set up Wi-Fi and the smartphone app. The mini-split, garage heater, furnace, air conditioner and water heater were operating properly at the completion of the inspection.

AC wire to condenser repair. Checked the circuit board, fuse on board and low voltage. All passed inspection. Repair of the AC wire. 

08/31: Whole-house water softener installation. Shut off the water to the house, drain the system and cut out the old water softener connections. Installation of new water softener and connection. Performed a start-up on the water softener and it is operating properly. 09/12: Returned to install the feet on the brine tank grid. Once the feet were installed, added salt to the grid and brine tank. Put the system through regeneration to make sure that the water is soft.

09/07/23 JOSEPH & LANCE CHECK HAIL,DAMAGE ON AIR CONDITIONER The unit is damaged from a recent hail storm. The fins and tubing are old and brittle. Attempts at straightening will result in worse damage and refrigerant leaks. It is likely that this will occur even without attempting to fix the fins. We highly recommend replacing the outdoor and indoor coils in lieu of making the very bad choice of trying to straighten the fins.

09/07/23 JOSEPH & LANCE AC AND FURNACE ARE NOT TURNING ON Found blower door switch stuck. Popped it loose and then the furnace blower and AC started operating. Checked all wiring and switches on the furnace board. Found added jumper wire that was preventing two-stage heat operation. Removed the jumper wire. Put all switches in the correct positions. The AC fan speed was still in the factory setting (high speed). The installing company failed to set this properly. Set the switches so the airflow is correct for the capacity of the air conditioner. We will be back next week to perform a complete system checkout. Due to the wrong airflow setting, the refrigerant levels set by the installing contractor are going to be incorrect. Provided several thermostat replacement options. We will bring the various thermostats with us when we return next week for the inspection. Received payment in full for today’s work. 09/06/23 JOSEPH & LANCE AC IS NOT COOLING Checked the furnace filter, blower motor, and blower wheel. They are operating properly. The thermostat is operating properly. Went to the outdoor unit and the compressor was not running. The outdoor coil was also extremely dirty. The insulation on the piping was eaten away by rodents. Provided options to the homeowner. They chose to have us clean the outdoor coil, replace the high-voltage storage device and replace the insulation. 09/06/23 JOSEPH & LANCE CONVERT FIREPLACE FROM LP TO NG Attempted to make the conversion, but the parts are not the correct parts. Evan called the manufacture to order the correct parts. They are not available. The unit is too old. We discounted the work by half since we did disassemble everything, but could not put it back together with the wrong parts. Replaced the receptacle and added a cover plate. 08/31/23 JOSEPH & LANCE COMPLETE THE EXHAUST BLOWER VENT AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION. Added extension on interior piping. Connected all piping from the blower to the outside wall. Installed the exhaust hood. Installed the blower into the hood. Tested the blower and light operation. The blower and light are operating properly at the completion of the installation. Received payment in full on check 1411. We did not charge for the actual installation of the blower. 08/14/23 JOSEPH & LANCE INSPECT MINI-SPLIT HEAT PUMP DAMAGE AFTER JULY 24, 2023 STORM The fins on the west side of the coil are damaged. They need to be straightened by combing and by individually lifting the severely flatted blades one at a time until able to be combed. Requires complete removal of the cabinet surrounding the coil in order to properly perform the repair. The cabinet will be reinstalled after the repair. This is a new unit which was installed on 07/21/23.

08/11/23 JOSEPH & LANCE INSTALL PROPER WIRING CONNECTION FOR THE DEHUMIDIFIER Ran a new circuit for the dehumidifier including circuit breaker, wire, duplex remodeler box, duplex receptacle and receptacle cover. 08/08/23 JOSEPH & LANCE REPLACE DOOR SWITCH ON FURNACE AND CHECK WHY HUMIDIFIER IS TRIPPING THE BREAKER We replaced the door switch and rewire the furnace so that the door switch was not bypassed. Checked the operation and it is working properly. Also discovered that the humidifier water panel was literally falling apart. It was not the humidifier that was tripping the breaker, but a central dehumidifier. Provided options on replacing the water panel of the humidifier and correcting an electrical issues with the dehumidifier. The homeowners authorized replacing the water panel and correcting the electrical issues. We will be ordering parts for the electrical portion. Replaced the water panel while we were there. Received a down payment for the future work and payment in full for all work completed today. The down payment will be applied to the job that we will schedule once we receive the parts. 08/07/23 JOSEPH & LANCE RETURN TO CLEAN BLOWER AND ADD REFRIGERANT Pulled and clean the furnace blower assembly. Added refrigerant and sealant to the system and balanced it to manufacturer specifications. Also re-insulated the suction line outdoors with new UV resistant insulation. 08/04/23 JOSEPH AC IS NOT COOLING Found that the indoor blower was working. Outdoor fan is running but could hear compressor trying to start, but not starting. Opened controls compartment and found mouse nest and burned off starting wire between the high voltage switch and the compressor booster. Replaced the wire. Also replaced other terminal ends on two other wires. Restored power to the unit. The air conditioning is now operating properly. Received payment in full on VISA.
