Installed a new Heat Pump Pool Heater in New Richmond, WI / Somerset, WI area. Very happy we could finally get this clients pool up and working again!

Performed a cooling season inspection on the HVAC system. Cleaned the evaporator and condenser coils to enhance efficiency, checked refrigerant levels, and measured system pressures to ensure optimal operation. Inspected the blower motor and capacitor for signs of wear, and tested the thermostat for accurate temperature control. The system was thoroughly tested, confirming it is ready to provide reliable cooling throughout the upcoming season.

6/5/24 Lance COOLING SEASON INSPECTION. Performed gas leak test—pass. Checked thermostat—pass.  Checked furnace air filter & blower compartment—pass.  Checked all AC components, electrical components, refrigerant levels, coils, drain, line insulation, temperatures and pressures. refrigerant levels low. Provided options for correcting deficiencies.  Customer authorized to put in leak sealant and more refrigerant Refrigerants now with specs The furnace and air conditioner are operating properly at the completion of the inspection.

05/10/24 JOSEPH NEW AC SPRING STARTUP The refrigerant levels would not adjust properly. Determined that the wood boiler water to air heat exchanger coil is plugged. It has over 9/10 of an inch pressure. There is insufficient airflow across the air conditioning coil as a result. We need to come back out and remove the hot water coil and clean it thoroughly to see if the pressure drop across the coil can be improved. Once that coil has good airflow, we can adjust the refrigerant levels of the new air conditioner. If we cannot improve the airflow across the coil, we will have to leave the hot water coil out until a new one can be acquired. 05/29/24 JOSEPH & LANCE Cleaned the hot water coil which was really dirty. Tested static pressures. The coil is now clean based on the pressure drop across the coil. However, the total return static pressure is very high (double). On 01/11/24, Joseph, Logan, and Chris conducted the replacement of the furnace. The task involved removing the existing furnace unit, including disconnecting electrical and gas connections, as well as removing ductwork. They then installed a new furnace unit, ensuring proper alignment, connection of gas and electrical components, and ductwork reinstallation. Finally, they conducted thorough testing to verify the functionality and efficiency of the new furnace.

Yesterday, I completed an estimate for installing a Carrier Comfort Series 24ACC6 air conditioner and a 59SC5A gas furnace in a residential home. The proposal included ductwork modifications, a new thermostat, and R-410A refrigerant. Additionally, safety inspections and system testing were part of the package. Materials like flexible duct connectors, vibration isolators, and hangar straps were specified to ensure a secure and compliant installation according to current HVAC standards.

03/13/24. Chris STELLAR PERFORMANCE MEMBERSHIP HEATING SEASON INSPECTION. Performed gas leak test—pass. Checked thermostats—pass. Checked air exchanger—pass.(getting a little rust show) Checked furnace air filter & blower compartment—pass. Checked water heater tank and operation—pass. Tested the water for hardness- Hardness was 17, recommend getting a water softener Also checked furnace exhaust clearance on outside wall, recommend a gooseneck be put on the exhaust, as it is not a foot above the ground. Cleaned off debris from the air exchanger intake on outside of the house. Provided options for correcting deficiencies. 3/6/24 CHRIS HUMIDIFIER NOT HUMIDIFYING PROPERLY Verified air exchanger settings. Verified control wiring and control settings on humidistat. Made minor wiring adjustments. Tested each piece of equipment. The air exchanger is working properly. The humidifier is now humidifying properly. There may be a problem with the solenoid valve plugging up after a period of operation. It may need to be replaced if it does not continue to allow water to flow. No charge for today. 2/23/24 JOSEPH REBUILD CHIMNEY ON BOILER Removed defective pipe and fittings. Installed new. The new piping is working properly. Cannot seal at wall thimble. The pipe needs to be able to move. When it heats and cools, the pipe expands and contracts. The manufacturer does not recommend sealing the wall thimble. Paid in full on VISA. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LINING THE CHIMNEY AND TERMINATING BOTH THE BOILER AND WATER HEATER IN THE CHIMNEY. THIS IS THE BEST EAY TO HAVE THEM CONFORM WITH THE WISCONSIN MECHANICAL CODE. 2/13/24 JOSEPH REPLACE WATER HEATER AND WELL PRESSURE TANK Shut off the circuit breakers for the water heater and the pump. Drained the plumbing system. Drained the water heater and the pressure tank. Removed both the water heater and the pressure tank for disposal. Installed new water heater and water tank. Redid the piping from the way it was originally to make it neater and easier to access the equipment. Also rewired the water heater and well pump. The wiring was strong all over the place and the control boxes were just hanging in the air. They are now attached to the walls and the wiring is secured. Re-stored the power to the well and the water heater. Filled the water heater prior to powering the water heater. Checked all piping for leaks. Found none. 1/19/24 Logan & Lance We replaced the old air exchanger, humidifier pad and replace the old piercing valve with an add a valve. The new air exchanger is up and running properly with no issues. The humidifier is also running properly with no issues and the add a valve has no leaks. We will need to set up another appointment to accept payment. 01/23/24. Chris Made an extra trip to check humidifier status. I cannot get it to call for water. Water lines are free and clear; will return with voltage meter. And there are a couple of other items that need attention when we return. 01/25/24. Joseph and Chris and Lance Remounted the air exchanger controller. Zip tied in the insulated venting on the air exchanger. After doing some wire testing, we discovered the humidistat board is bad. It is not turning on the fan, nor the solenoid to draw water. Verified this with Aprilaire Tech Support. Joseph received authorization from Klaus to order and install a new humidistat. 02/9/24. Chris R

2/2/24 Chris and Lance Install exhaust vent piping for customer supplied garage unit heater. Also hooked up regulator and gas line. Unit heater is operating but there is a blower fan noise we are concerned about. Informed homeowner and we received payment in full on visa. 2/6/ 24 JOSEPH & CHRIS Double-checked manifold pressure. Set at 3.50” WC. Sealed more completely around wall penetration with spray foam. Owner may need to trim excess foam after it cures. Repaired the fan vibration caused by factory not ptightening the fan set screw properly. The unit heater is running efficiently and quietly at the completion of the call. Connected the utilities to the new furnace. Started up the new furnace. Checked gas pressures and performed combustion analysis. 1/22/24 Logan Fixed rivets on new boot. The old rivets would not allow the filter to go in smoothly. Now with the rivets I put in, the filter now slides down with easy. I tried dropping the new filter in and also tried putting it in slowly and at different angles. Also had the homeowner try it as well to make sure it was to his liking. Customer said that the filter was much better and it should be just fine for him.
