Today, I completed an estimate for installing a Trane XR14 Series 4TTR4 air conditioning unit alongside a S9V2-VS gas furnace for a residential project. The job included integrating new ductwork, an Aprilaire 700M whole-house humidifier, and a programmable Honeywell thermostat. The proposal outlined the use of R-410A refrigerant, supply plenums, and return air supports. Additional requirements included vibration dampeners and sealing materials to ensure system efficiency and compliance with local HVAC installation standards.

3/22/24 JOSEPH & CHRIS NO HEAT FROM RADIANT TUBE HEATER Found bad gas control. Ordered a new gas control. Under warranty. No charge. New control will be here on Monday. 3/29/24 JOSEPH & CHRIS REPLACE GAS CONTROL UNDER WARRANTY Shut off gas to the heater. Removed the old gas control. Installed the new control. Run and test unit operation. Adjusted incoming and manifold pressures. The heater is operating properly at the completion of job. No payment is due today. Covered under warranty. 3/27/24 JOSEPH, CHRIS & LANCE REPLACE THE BAD FURNACE Shut off power and gas to the existing furnace. Disconnected all piping, electrical and ductwork from the existing furnace. Remove the furnace for recycling. Modify supply and return ductwork to fit the new furnace. Set the new furnace in place. Connect to the ductwork. Connect piping and electrical. Perform proper startup and operation check. The furnace is operating properly at the completion of the installation. Received final payment in full on personal check. 3/26/24 JOSEPH NO HEAT Found defective pressure switch. Unit also shuts down on high temperature switch due to dirty filter. Presented repair, filter and replacement options. We are going to replace the furnace as soon as we can schedule it. Got the pressure switch to function, but it may not last long. If it shuts down, we will deliver space heaters for them to use until the unit is replaced. They enrolled in the Membership Plan. Received first months membership plus down payment by personal check. Completed a water heater repair for a homeowner in Roberts, WI. Diagnosed a faulty heating element causing insufficient hot water. Removed the old element and replaced it with a new one. 03/18/24 JOSEPH NO HEAT/INTERMITTENT HEAT Found that the wire on the flame sensor had a sloppy terminal connection. It was not secure enough from when the unit was built at the factory. This was decreasing the strength of the flame signal. Pinched the terminal end of the wire so that it would make a tighter connection on the flame rod. 03/18/24 JOSEPH UNIT HEATER NO OPERATING—PRESSURE SWITCH ERROR. Checked vacuum tube and pressure switch. There was no vacuum present. Vacuum tube is good. Checked tube ports. Found pressure port at the inducer plugged with mineral/crystals. Broke through the crystals with a probe. Reconnected the vacuum tube. Tested the unit. 3/8/24 JOSEPH INSTALL WATER SOFTENER. MODIFY MAIN STACK TO INSTALL A PTRAP FOR THE WATER SOFTENER DISCHARGE. installed the water softener, stack drain with P-trap, and the discharge line for the water softener terminating at the new P-trap. Performed proper start up on the system and programmed the controls. Lance dropped off a couple of bags of salt for the water softener. 2/9/24 JOSEPH & LANCE REPLACE OLD FURNACE Shut off the power to the furnace. Shut off the gas to the furnace. Disconnected the old furnace from venting, gas, drain, electrical and control wiring. Disconnected the furnace from supply and return ductwork. Remove the furnace for disposal. Installed return airbase on new furnace. Attached return air boot to the new furnace. Set the new furnace in place. Connected the furnace to the supply and return ductwork. Connected vent piping, gas piping, drain piping, and electrical and control wiring. Restored power and gas to the furnace. Started the furnace and checked for proper combustion and gas pressures on both high and low heat. 2/08/24 JOSEPH & CHRIS INSTALL NEW WATER HEATER Shut off the water to the house and drained the piping. Drained the old water heater. Removed the water piping, gas piping, vent piping and electrical connections from the water heater. Removed the water heater from the house for disposal. Set the new water heater in place on top of a customer supplied drain pan. Connected the water heater to venting, water piping, gas piping, and electrical. Restored the water to the house, filled the water heater and bled all the air from the lines. Checked for leaks. Turned on the water heater and checked water heater operation. The water heater is operating property with no leaks at the completion of the installation. Received final investment on personal check for the water heater portion of the project. Repiped gas line and installed proper gas regulator on the garage heater. Adjusted gas pressures, 5.5 WC incoming and 3.6 WC outgoing. 02/06/24 JOSEPH & CHRIS STELLAR PERFORMANCE MEMBERSHIP HEATING SEASON INSPECTION. MAIN HOUSE EQUIPMENT Performed gas leak test—LEAKING GAS REGULATOR ON WATER HEATER. Checked thermostat—pass. Checked 25-year old furnace, air filter & blower compartment—The blower wheel and motor are really dirty and need cleaning. The blower motor is going bad—drawing more amps than it should. 6.9a vs 5.5a rating. Inducer motor is bad-drawing maximum amps allowed at 1.8a. ONE BURNER TUBE IS CORRODED THROUGH THE ENTIRE TUBE SEAM. THE FURNACE MUST BE REPLACED. Checked water heater tank and operation—heavy corrosion on tank perimeter. The water heater is failing. Tested the water for hardness and total dissolved solids— 17 gps hardness and 162 TDS. Highly recommend a water softener. GUEST HOUSE FURNACE Performed gas leak test—pass. Checked thermostat—pass. 12/27/23 JOSEPH TOILET RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY. WATER SOFTENER IS USING SALT, BUT WATER SEEMS HARD. Checked the toilet, and we need to replace the refill valve assembly. Checked the water softener. There is not enough salt in it to do a good diagnosis. Nick will get some salt and put it through a backwash. We will return and replace the bad parts in the toilet as well as testing the water after it goes through the water softener. We can then determine what’s going on with the water softener and what needs to be done to correct matters. 12/28/23 JOSEPH The water softener, according to Nick, is working properly since he added salt and did the regeneration. INSTALL NEW WATER HEATER LOGAN AND LANCE 11/14/23 We were able to replace the old water and drain it. The new water heater went in and was hooked up to the water lines and ran smoothly, and properly. The new water heater was running properly at the completion of the install.

03/27/23 JOSEPH & MICHAEL ESTIMATE FOR GAS LINE TO PORCH Jake enrolled in the membership program. Provided option for bringing the gas piping up to code and providing adequate gas supply to the existing appliances. Also provided an option for running a gas line out to the deck. We will get together tomorrow to discuss pricing for replacing of the furnace and air conditioner and any other equipment needed to make the home more comfortable and safer. Received $9 for the first month’s membership dues on VISA card.
